Pre-Natal Massage

Maternity can be a joyful and beautiful process as bodies grow and develop to accommodate these small miracles, but alongside the beautiful, there can also be big emotional and physical challenges. Massage therapy can address many of these discomforts caused by hormone, circulatory and skeletal changes to the body, and release stress while preparing your body for childbirth.

Conditions treated by Pre-Natal Massage:

  • Lower back pain
  • Sciatic pain
  • Irregular sleep
  • Headaches
  • Muscle and joint tension, like calf cramping
  • Swelling (edema) of limbs
  • Mood regulation
  • Stress/pressures of pregnancy

Decreased stress, relieved muscle and joint tension, reduction of swelling, better sleep patterns & mood regulation, relief of lower back pain… all of these can be benefits you experience from massage therapy. If you are pregnant, pregnancy massage could be very beneficial for you!

At Aspire, we can now book you in for pre-natal massages with our new pregnancy bed!

With comfortable spacing for both the growing belly and for your chest, you will now be able to lay down comfortably and safely while Kim, our massage therapist, works her magic.

Pregnancy Pre-Cautions:

If you’re having a complicated pregnancy, or are early on in your pregnancy, it may be best to consult your doctor or health care professional to see if massage would work for you.

Post-Natal Massage is also available, and may help your body relax and recover from delivery & release tension. If you had an uncomplicated delivery and pregnancy, you can book in for a massage as soon as you would like. If there were complications or you are unsure, a doctor or health care professional may be able to help answer any questions and determine if massage would be beneficial.

Book in with Kim now by contacting us here or calling us at 780-540-1115.
