Andy Duong

Provisional Physiotherapist

Qualifications

  • BSc. Kinesiology (University of Alberta)
  • MSc. Physical Therapy (University of Alberta)

Growing up in Edmonton, Andy stayed active through a variety of sports, including basketball and racket sports such as tennis, badminton, and table tennis. As he got older, Andy developed a strong passion for powerlifting and remains actively involved in the sport as both a competitor and coach—so you’re likely to see him around powerlifting events throughout Alberta.

Andy’s path to physiotherapy was shaped by his own experience with persistent back pain that was initially poorly managed. It wasn’t until he worked with a physiotherapist who truly listened and collaborated with him on a shared solution that his pain began to improve. That experience inspired Andy to pursue physiotherapy, with the goal of providing the same patient-centered care to others.

Clinically, Andy has a keen interest in upper extremity rehabilitation, treating conditions from the shoulder down to the hand. He enjoys working with a wide range of individuals, with a special focus on gym-goers and weightlifters. His treatment approach combines hands-on techniques with targeted therapeutic exercise, emphasizing education and self-management to help clients take ownership of their recovery.

Outside of the clinic, Andy enjoys powerlifting, photography, travelling, and exploring new foods whenever he gets the chance. If you’re looking to build confidence in your movement and leave your sessions feeling stronger and more informed, Andy would be happy to work with you.
