Chang Shih
Doctor of Acupuncture
Qualifications
- Diploma of Acupuncture (Grant MacEwan University, 2016)
Having been born and spent the early part of his adolescence in Taiwan, Chang was introduced to acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities, such as cupping, at a young age in the treatment of his injuries. When he sprained his ankle playing basketball, acupuncture helped greatly to reduce the swelling that would occur and aid him in healing and recovery. Acupuncture wasn’t just a familiar process, it was the natural, go-to method of treating pains and conditions, whether it is acute or chronic. And, as an avid tennis player in his adulthood, acupuncture alleviated rotator cuff repetitive strain and lower back tightness. Having experienced the benefit of acupuncture from early on, Dr. Chang Shih became a registered acupuncturist in the province of Alberta in 2017.
Outside of his clinical interests, Chang loves to enjoy the open roads of Alberta on his motorcycle, as well as learning to work the motorcycle himself. When he is not on two wheels, he loves learning a wide range of new skills and hobbies.

- Integration of Manual Therapies as an adjunct to Acupuncture
