David grew up in Edmonton playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball before eventually focusing on track and field at the university level, joining the University of Alberta team as a sprinter. His experiences across multiple sports and levels of competition sparked a deep interest in the human body—how it adapts, becomes stronger, and changes in response to training, lifestyle, and movement. Through his own injuries, David was introduced to physiotherapy early in life, which further fueled his curiosity about recovery, performance, and human movement.

He completed a Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Pharmacology at the University of Alberta, followed by a brief period in Calgary working with the Public Health Agency of Canada. He then returned to Edmonton to complete his Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta.

David’s approach to practice centers on patient education and empowerment. He values the role movement plays in overall health and recognizes that each person’s goals, background, and challenges are unique. Drawing on both his clinical training and personal experiences, he aims not only to treat injuries, but also to equip patients with the tools and confidence needed for long-term health and performance. He has worked with a wide range of individuals, from those recovering after hip replacements to high-level athletes returning from sport-specific injuries.

Outside the clinic, David enjoys recreational sports such as hockey, volleyball, softball, golf, and skiing. He can also often be found losing on chess.com
