Growing up in Vermilion, a small town a few hours away from Edmonton, Julia kept busy playing every school sport that she could. After graduating as valedictorian from her high school, she moved to Edmonton where she completed her BSc in Psychology at MacEwan University. During this time, Julia took on a role as a Physiotherapy Assistant and discovered her passion for empowering her clients to take back control of their health and fitness. Following this calling, Julia went back to school and received her MSc. in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.
Pulling from her knowledge in both the world of Psychology and Physical Therapy, and her personal experience with competitive powerlifting and various sports, Julia is well equipped to treat athletes, weekend warriors, chronic pain sufferers, and everyone in between! She utilizes a combination of hands-on treatment approaches which complement the personalized training program she will design for your specific problem. Julia’s goal is to give you the tools to manage your pain/injury on your own terms.
In her spare time, Julia continues to pursue her own fitness goals, plays in a rec volleyball league, boulders with her friends, and enjoys getting out to hike in the mountains whenever she can.
